Praised as being “a piece of Dubai in Manchester”, the Trafford Centre is one of the biggest shopping and leisure destinations in the entire UK. It is a really exciting place to be. Why so? Well, it contains over 200 shops and more than 60 cafés, bars and restaurants. It doesn’t matter if you are searching for the latest High fashion brands, a delicious meal or the perfect place to have a mind-blowing time with your loved ones, Trafford Centre is your go-to place.

The restaurants serve the best meals that will leave you yearning for more and in the shops, there is something for everyone. Some of the biggest attractions contained under the roof of the Trafford Centre in Manchester are SEA LIFE, LEGOLAND Discovery Centre and a two-storey Primark store at Barton Square; the first Selfridges outside of London, a flagship Next store, John Lewis, Zara, Victoria’s Secret and several others. You just have to experience it yourself.

But be careful not to get lost – it’s soo massive in there.

Number 9 – Grab a meal at Manchester Arndale

The Manchester Arndale is a premier shopping centre located just outside of the Exchange Square, a major tram shop. This is a big plus for it. It has an amazing food court that has several great meal options and I’m pretty sure you’d like to titillate your taste buds with its delicious meals.

You will also find several designer and department stores, entertainment spaces M&S and Sports Direct and several other places that would satisfy every taste bud and budget.

You might have trouble locating the maps that show how to navigate the place though and if you’re visiting with kids, it might be a bit of a task moving your kids around in the massive shopping centre.

But, it is well worth the stress and I’d recommend it anytime, any day.

Number 8 – Tour the Etihad Stadium

There are not many activities that will beat going on a tour of the home of the European football champions, Manchester City.

You don’t need to be a fan of the City Club to get excited by the prospect of visiting the stadium.

Tell me, doesn’t the idea of touring the Manchester City stadium, visiting the changing room, or having a taste of what it feels like to walk down the magnificent player’s tunnel and sit down next to Pep Guardiola who is often mentioned in conversations about the greatest coaches of all time excite you?

Some other highlights include seeing what happens on matchday in the Home Team dressing room, with the aid of a new immersive audio-visual show, taking pictures with all the statues around the stadium and grabbing some really cool stuff from the merchandise store and being able to ask a virtual Pep Guardiola field questions. Additionally, the tour guides are just sweet, friendly people and do justice to their jobs.

It is an amazing stadium tour and it doesn’t matter whether you’re a football fan or not, you are bound to have an excellent time.
